Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated Social Worker is needed to support students in elementary settings, serving Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. This contract position focuses on providing essential social-emotional services within two elementary school campuses located in Santa Fe, NM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services to students exhibiting behavioral and social challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Conduct assessments and maintain documentation in compliance with school and district policies.
- Facilitate support groups and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Promote a positive school environment that fosters student well-being and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential recognized by New Mexico and the Public Education Department (PED).
- Proven experience in addressing student behaviors and developing social skills within an elementary school context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to engage young children and collaborate with school personnel.
- Commitment to working onsite; this role is exclusively in-person with no hybrid or virtual options.
Position Details:
- Full-time contract role requiring 40 hours per week; overtime is not permitted.
- Assignment includes Barranca and Aspen Elementary Schools within the district.
